Kay is Church Farm’s proprietor and has over 30 years’ experience working as a riding instructor.

Kay qualified as a BHS Intermediate Stable Manager in 1994 and has a vast knowledge of horse care and welfare, alongside a passion for helping people to achieve their best.
​
Kay’s career has taken her across the UK, working in all horse disciplines. Kay spent her early career teaching at the Pony Club and has coached many children to national success in their riding. Kay now focusses on non-ridden activities using our horses to help people overcome issues they are facing, and to learn new things.

Kay is responsible for both the strategic and day-to-day running of Church Farm, managing the team of staff and horses. Kay has two adult children and can often be seen with her small friendly dog “Wurbie” running at her side.

Kay is Church Farm's Safeguarding and Child Protection Officer.
Kirsty Edwards BA (hons), BHS St 2 Groom, EFL Practitioner, Pony Club L1 Coach
Kirsty helped Kay to set up Church Farm Equestrian Centre in 2012 and focusses on growing and developing the centre’s facilities.
Kirsty has ridden and worked with horses for over 20 years' and is a BHS Stage 2 groom. She completed her formal Equine Facilitated Learning Diploma in 2022.
Kirsty took an academic route in her career, first studying for a BA (hons) degree in Literary Studies, then working in both private and public sector companies. She is a professionally qualified Project Manager alongside her work at Church Farm. Kirsty combines her knowledge of equestrianism with her practical experience of working for large organisations to help our clients develop the skills they need to flourish personally, in education and employment.
Kirsty has a particular interest in helping people with additional needs to flourish, and has two adult boys, one of whom is dyslexic. Kirsty owns a fell pony “Hero”, and regularly competes low-level across a range of disciplines.
