CFEC’s operating licence is granted by Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) Council, who work in conjunction with DEFRA to rate the level of animal welfare and services provided.  CFEC has held the highest level of accreditation at 5 stars since the scheme was introduced in 2019.  The licencee is Kay Padfield, licence number 22/00021/ANIMAL.

As a Pony Club Linked Centre, CFEC can provide all Pony Club activities including opportunities for clients to work towards internationally recognised qualifications and achievement badges.

We also hold Accessibility Mark accreditation, awarded by the British Equestrian Federation in partnership with the Riding for the Disabled Association. Holders of the Accessibility Mark must undergo assessment and training to prove they are suitable and safe venues and can support each rider to meet their maximum potential.

As part of our licence and accredited status, we hold all necessary insurances, safeguarding, first aid and other regulatory requirements and are checked annually for compliance with these, alongside independent vet checks for adequate animal welfare.
